A playful 5- day public exploration of birthdays: real and imagined, near and far; past, present and future – all from my front room (-ish).
The Birthday referenced our common experiences of exchange and celebration.
Party games, toys, & valued objects and experiences were brought to share or display.
Coincidences and paradoxes of a local life in our global village were embraced.
Ideas on ‘what art is?’ in today’s society were discussed  together over cups of tea.
Contributions of poems, paintings, objects, ‘ live ‘music, vinyl or digital/ CD  and Youtube, readings, installations, games and performances were brought to exhibit for the duration of the exhibition or during their visit.
Thoughts on giving, receiving, sharing and exchange  were shared; personal, poignant, political, daft  or informative………
People who couldn’t get to semi-rural Oxfordshire, joined us  via  Twitter @sangrownun, Periscope, email, telephone and letters……
a ‘potlatch’ of conversation, coincidence and action
